Red Star (Paris)

…a club built to reflect the legendary fellow’s principles of refusing to discriminate “…upon grounds of class…”

…upon which grounds they didn’t refuse to discriminate remains un-revealed

“…On Jules’s initiative, the first World Cup Tournament is held in Uruguay, in the July of 1930…”

Jules R, the French, Belgian & Romanian squads, along with the trophy…( named “Victory” but more often than not though much more oftenly referred to as the “ Jules Rimet Trophy ” or just the plain old “World Cup ”…)

…travelled together on a six week journey to South America - Mssrs Rimet often hiding the trophy at the bottom of his bed/in with his laundry/down his trousers, you know, just for the safe keeping, like
